ROMA Arquitectura Studio completed an ambitious villa renovation in one of Europe’s most exclusive enclaves. Recognised as leading architects in La Zagaleta, the studio harmonised contemporary design with Benahavís’s natural landscape to create an exceptional residence. The heart of this ambitious villa renovation is its fluid, open‑plan social realm. By removing traditional partitions, a continuous sanctuary was created in which the formal lounge and dining areas coexist in perfect structural harmony. Every design decision within these expansive volumes was calibrated to frame the Andalusian landscape, employing floor‑to‑ceiling panoramic glazing that floods the interior with Mediterranean light and forges a seamless connection to the rolling hills beyond.

Designed to move away from conventional, sterile kitchen aesthetics, the space embraces rich textures and dark tones to create an atmosphere of sophisticated warmth.
The undeniable centrepiece is an oversized waterfall island, meticulously clad in honed Laurent Gold marble with bronze and gold striations. This monolithic element functions as both a culinary workstation and an informal social hub, integrating a seamless induction hob and Isabel leather bar stools by Cattelan Italia. Behind it, a matching full‑height marble splashback reflects the natural light streaming through the dark‑framed windows, which perfectly frame the surrounding palms and the golden Andalusian sunset.
Every functional element has been concealed with architectural precision.
